A break dancing competition, an Afrocentric drum party, an egg cream seltzer party, First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum, and more events in Brooklyn this weekend.

The borough will be hosting a free block party, along with a live conversation about the future of women in hip-hop on Aug. 5, NYC Mayor Eric Adams announced.

There are two basic pies on the menu, a red and a white, and four specialty pies, including a fantastic “cozy pie” topped with mashed potatoes, fermented tomatoes and mozzarella.
