Joey Chestnut Regains Hot Dog Eating Title in Brooklyn

Hundreds of people flocked to Coney Island to see competitive eater Joey Chestnut scarf down 70.5 hot dogs during Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on the Fourth of July.

Competitive eater Joey Chestnut managed to down 70.5 hot dogs to win Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on Friday in Coney Island.

After taking a break last year due to sponsorship issues, Chestnut reclaimed the Mustard Belt for the 17th time in front of a very enthusiastic crowd. He did not, however, beat his own record of 76 hot dogs set in 2021.

Hundreds of enthusiastic fans, many in hot dog hats, erupted with excitement as Chestnut devoured his dogs.

Miki Sudo won the women's division with 33 hot dogs, her 11th title. There was also a meat-stick eating competition, as well as dance and live music performances to celebrate Independence Day in Brooklyn.
