Fall flavors are arriving at Ample Hills Creamery, with the Brooklyn ice cream company bringing back a seasonal pumpkin favorite and preparing to launch a new flavor created in partnership with New York City institution Zabar’s.
Falling for Pumpkin is available starting Aug. 25 at all four Ample Hills Creamery locations, including its Brooklyn shops at 623 Vanderbilt Ave. and 816 Washington Ave. The seasonal flavor combines pumpkin ice cream made with Libby’s pumpkin puree, warm fall spices and brown sugar with house-made cinnamon sugar cone crunchies and marshmallow swirls.
Ample Hills Creamery is a Brooklyn-based creamery known for small-batch ice cream, house-made mix-ins and playful flavor combinations. Its lineup includes 24 flavors, with limited-time collaborations adding new combinations throughout the year. All of its ice cream is certified kosher and made locally in Brooklyn for its four New York City locations.
On Aug. 31, Ample Hills will launch Holy Babka!, a new flavor created with Zabar’s in time for Rosh Hashanah. The flavor will be available at all four Ample Hills locations. It features Zabar’s cinnamon babka blended into a sweet cream base with Madagascar vanilla, along with additional hand-cut pieces of fresh babka folded into the ice cream as it churns.
The collaboration brings together two New York food businesses to turn a traditional baked good into a seasonal ice cream flavor. "Holy Babka!" also arrives as Ample Hills’ kosher certification makes its full lineup available to customers observing Jewish dietary traditions.
The fall releases come as pumpkin and other seasonal flavors return to menus across New York. Falling for Pumpkin is available now, while "Holy Babka!" will debut Aug. 31.
Customers can visit Ample Hills’ Brooklyn locations in Prospect Heights at 623 Vanderbilt Ave. or at The Social at 816 Washington Ave. to try Falling for Pumpkin as well as "Holy Babka!" later this month.
