Brooklyn Botanic Garden announces the arrival of the cherry blossom season events, summer in the garden

Using a cupcake as their canvas, Carolina Wang and Benny Emeri are creating custom edible art that relates to everyday pop culture and current events.

Now in its sixth year, the contest drew eight contestants and a crowd of Dolly Parton enthusiasts to Brooklyn.

The public exhibit is a celebration of the African diaspora of the borough, with rare art and 16th-century artifacts.

"It's for everybody," Petite Patate Owner and Chef Greg Baxtrom said of the new restaurant, which offers an affordable and delicious menu of French classics with a Brooklyn twist.

A 4-mile run, an Afrobeats dance party, a Black culture pop-up market, a film-screening, a plant therapy session and more Brooklyn events.

The Eldorado Ballroom music series will feature performances from Kelela, KeiyaA, The Clark Sisters, Archie Shepp, and more

The Green-Wood Cemetery will host Eiko Otake and her installation Mother beginning Feb. 25
