atlantic yards development needs truly AFFORDABLE HOUSING, 30 AMI through up to 130 AMI, not more outrageous high rents, all incomes should have the right to benefit from the amenities in the neighborhood , seniors and low income people marched for truly affordable under the banner of the acorn group, enough of the segregated NYC income policy

yes I honor our veterans, but its already bad enough with all these community preferences, by the the time you add up all the different preferences, the affordable units will come down to probably 4 to 8 units left, so now city workers get a boost in preference, and non city workers once again chances will be far worst

the bottom line, Atlantic yards development needs TRULY AFFORDABLE HOUSING, no more of these outrageous high rent (so called) affordable housing, the rents in these AMI is to high, also there needs to be a senior affordable housing in that development

NYC definitely needs TRULY AFFORDABLE HOUSING ASAP, and also build them in better off neighborhoods, and yes give everybody a chance to vote in the primary including the independents.

also I would like to add, the rents in the AMI are constantly rising, low income house holds are paying way more than 30% on rent the AMI need to be adjusted so people can truly afford there apartment, these re-rentals that are posted on these apartment websites remain vacant, from understanding people who request an apartment application from these managements don't get a response back, very little truly affordable housing gets built and when they do thousands ontop of thousands people apply, affordable housing lottery still have this community preference, but if you earn over 100% AMI and that's the minimum there is no preference, smh, city of yes for the profit over people developers

how about building more truly affordable housing at the delay Atlantic yards/pacific towers, how about fast tracking that development, how about as a mayor you make sure the Atlantic ave mix development build more truly affordable housing, which will be very very little truly ones

that closed Modells and the pc Richards that was supposed to be closed, was supposed to be replace with 'affordable housing', which was part of the Atlantic yards/Pacific park development but now seems to have this youth sport center, is the youth basketball center needed? it could be feasible for the young ones, but once again more delay on the Atlantic yards, that was supposed to deliver very much truly affordable housing

exactly, these for ever rising rents in the AMI is becoming more untruly affordable, we need much needed 1 to 3 bedrooms that are truly affordable starting from 30% AMI and the in between other low incomes and up, enough with these outrageous high income rents labeled affordable, no more tax breaks give aways to these profit over people developers who can care less about truly affordable at the Atlantic yards development
