Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa publicly claimed that associates of former Governor Andrew Cuomo and his campaign offered him money to get out of the race, according to ABC7 New York.

At a campaign stop in Manhattan on Wednesday, Sliwa said the Cuomo campaign and unspecified intermediaries offered him millions of dollars to quit the race.

"That's the way they talk, 'Come on, Curtis, everybody has their price.' Curtis Sliwa doesn't have a price," he said.

Sliwa declined to name individuals but stood by the allegations.

Cuomo denied the claims, saying Sliwa is lying, ABC7 reported.

"Curtis Sliwa is a liar and a fraudster, who has admitted to faking crimes for publicity... This is more of the same," Cuomo's campaign spokesperson Rich Azzopardi said in a statement.

Sliwa went on to claim, without evidence, that Mayor Eric Adams has also been approached, according to the TV station.

During an announcement on a city housing project in Brooklyn on Thursday, Adams also said the allegations are baseless.

"Listen, the only fact about Curtis Sliwa is that Curtis Sliwa is a liar," he said, adding that no one has every offered money for him to leave the mayoral race.
