Most Brooklyn voters backed incumbents for various elected positions on primary election day, though one Republican City Council race in south Brooklyn was closely contested.
Voter turnout was low in Council District 38, which includes Sunset Park, District 41, which covers portions of Brownsville, East Flatbush, northern Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens, and District 48, covering parts of Coney Island, Gravesend and Sheepshead Bay.
Below are the first and second place ranked-choice results for seats that affect Brooklyn residents, according to the New York City Board of Elections.
