More than 1,000 protesters took to the streets of Brooklyn on Wednesday as part of an international "Day of Rage" in opposition to Israel's occupation and annexation of Palestine.
The group — led by members of over 40 grassroots organizations across the city — marched from Bay Ridge to the Barclays Center, starting at about 4 pm and ending at 10 pm. About a dozen cops in riot gear kept protesters out of the streets, and trailed them on their way to the Fort Greene venue. For a brief stretch in Bay Ridge, a small group of counter-protesters gathered across the street from speakers waving Israeli flags and Trump banners.
