Several members of the New York City press corps testified at an NYPD public hearing Tuesday on a proposal put forth by the agency to update its current rules on how and when police officers can strip reporters of their press passes.
The proposals under consideration stem from a lawsuit brought by a freelance photographer several years ago, who had his press pass taken from him by NYPD officers while shooting a construction site where a worker died.
