Officials say they responded to a call on Remsen Street shortly after noon Tuesday, where a manhole fire under a car spread to the fourth floor of a neighboring apartment building. Firefighters also found high carbon monoxide levels in two nearby buildings. Power was turned off in the three affected buildings and families were evacuated.
