Woman in Medically Induced Coma After Being Set on Fire in Brooklyn: Prosecutors

A Brooklyn man accused of setting a woman on fire was arrested and charged with attempted murder in the second degree on Sunday morning, prosecutors announced.

The incident happened at around 5:11pm on Saturday at 108 Kingsborough 1st Walk. Police say a 38-year-old woman suffered multiple burns and was taken to a local hospital. A suspect, identified as 44-year-old Kenneth Rickenbacker, was taken into custody on Sunday evening. Prosecutors say Rickenbacker allegedly threw a bottle of rubbing alcohol onto the victim and lit the victim on fire. Rickenbacker is also accused of holding a knife and making threats to the victim and her 11-year-old daughter. More on this from Pix 11.
