Brooklyn Baby Shooting: Second Suspect Caught in PA

Photos of two individuals on a moped approached the intersection of Moore Street and Humboldt Street. The individual at the rear of the moped displayed a firearm and discharged the firearm multiple times, striking a 7-month-old female on April 1, 2026.

Police on Friday apprehended a second suspect tied to the deadly shooting of 7-month-old Kaori Patterson-Moore in Brooklyn, according to amNewYork.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, the perpetrator was cuffed after fleeing to Pennsylvania. Sources identified him as 18-year-old Matthew Rodriguez; he is currently being held in the Keystone State, pending extradition back to New York for prosecution on charges yet to be announced, the news site reported. 

The arrest came 48 hours after Patterson-Moore was shot while being wheeled in her stroller by her mother near the corner of Humboldt and Moore Streets in East Williamsburg at about 1:20pm on April 1.
