Applications are now open for Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso’s Fiscal Year 2027 capital funding.
The New York City Charter allows borough presidents to allocate capital funding to qualified projects on an annual basis. These funds are used to make improvements across the borough by creating new infrastructure and upgrading existing assets. Funding can be allocated to parks, streets, schools, hospitals, economic development and affordable housing projects, cultural institutions, and other nonprofit organizations.
“Capital funding allows us to invest directly in the spaces and institutions Brooklynites rely on every day — from city agencies and schools to nonprofits and community organizations,” Reynoso said in a statement. “Each application is an opportunity to drive real, lasting change in our communities. It shows us where the needs are greatest and where we can make a real difference. Whether it’s strengthening hospitals or supporting parks, cultural spaces, and community facilities, capital funding helps us build a more equitable and resilient Brooklyn. If you are working on a project that can truly transform your community, this is your chance to apply.”
