Stroll Into Summer Fun at the Daddy Summer Stroll

Strong families begin with shared outdoor moments.

Families will gather in Prospect Park next month for the second annual Daddy Summer Stroll, a community-focused event celebrating fathers, caregivers and outdoor family activities.

Hosted by Good+ Foundation in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance, the free event will take place Sunday, June 14, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Prospect Park LeFrak Center.

Families will take part in a 30-minute walk through Prospect Park, traveling to the Boathouse and back along a route designed to encourage time outdoors and connection between parents and children. During last year’s stroll, participants spotted swans, chipmunks and other wildlife throughout the park.

The event reflects Good+ Foundation’s broader focus on father-inclusive family support and community-based programming. Alongside the walk, attendees will be able to enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, music, splash pad activities, temporary tattoos, treats, giveaways and other family-friendly activities.

Several companies are contributing food, beverages and family products for attendees, including BabyBjörn, Chicco, Jazwares, Babo Botanicals, Raising Cane's and Just Ice Tea.

Founded in 2001 by Jessica Seinfeld, Good+ Foundation began as a grassroots effort to collect and distribute baby items to families in need. The nonprofit has since expanded into a national network with more than 3,600 volunteers and 129 partner organizations focused on helping families break cycles of multigenerational poverty.

Now marking its 25th year, the organization reports donating $138 million in products and more than $1.8 million in family cash grants. Good+ Foundation has also received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator and a Platinum Seal from GuideStar.

The Daddy Summer Stroll is free and open to families with children of all ages.
