Free Veterinary Clinic Supports Brooklyn Pet Owners Facing Financial Hardship

Pets will receive basic wellness checks, vaccinations and flea and tick prevention.

Brooklyn pet owners struggling financially will be able to access free veterinary care during a clinic hosted by Paws & Rec and Positive Tails on Saturday, May 10. The initiative is part of the clinic's commitment to helping communities keep healthy pets.

The clinic will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 857 Fourth Ave. and will offer services by appointment only, according to a press release. Registration opens May 2, and space is limited. Pet owners are encouraged to reserve a spot early by scanning the QR code on the event flyer or visiting www.positivetails.org/clinic.

The event, open exclusively to Brooklyn residents, aims to support dog and cat owners facing financial hardship with services including veterinary exams, basic wellness checks, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, and distribution of pet food and essential supplies.

Each household may register up to three animals.
