Brooklyn Botanic Garden is inviting Brooklynites to compete for the Greenest Block in Brooklyn.

Applications for the 30th annual Greenest Block in Brooklyn competition are open now through June 1. Celebrating its 30th year, the contest promotes urban greenspaces and gardening throughout the borough.

The competition is free to enter, and open to all residential blocks, commercial blocks, and community gardens in Brooklyn. Prizes will be awarded for Best Residential Block, Best Commercial Block, Best Street Tree Beds, Best Window Box, Best Community Garden Streetscape, and more.
