Con Edison is urging Brooklyn residents who lost power for more than two days during the February snow storm to file for reimbursement for food or medicine that spoiled.

Thousands of people lost power during the January and February snow storm, but there were prolonged outages in Bedford-Stuyvestant, Park Slope, Boerum Hill and Gowanus last month.

“Con Edison recognizes how difficult it was to be without power during the extreme cold," a Con Edison spokesperson said in a statement. "Our crews worked around the clock in challenging conditions to clear snow, repair damage and safely restore service. We are paying validated claims for residential customers in Brooklyn who were without power for more than 48 hours and had food or medicine spoil."

Claims can be submitted within 30 days of the outage. Click here for a claim form.
