The Brooklyn Museum unveiled its extensive lineup of programming for October, marking the start of its 200th anniversary celebrations with a weekend-long Birthday Bash on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Highlights include Brooklyn Talks, featuring a conversation between journalist Paola Ramos and filmmaker Paola Mendoza, as well as Brooklyn Reads, which will celebrate The Chronicles of DOOM, according to a press release.
The Brookyn Artists Exhibition also showcases over 200 borough artists in a huge group show in the Great Hall.
In addition, the museum will offer classes, tours and special events that enhance its current exhibitions and collections, while engaging the local community and fostering learning through visual arts.
Museum members will receive complimentary or discounted tickets, as well as early access to public events.

This program is free; registration is required and includes museum general admission.
