The Brooklyn Museum has released its schedule of public programs for July with events for visitors of all ages. Activities include Teen Pop-Up Talks, the weekly Brooklyn Pop-Up Market, a Museum on Wheels visit to Coney Island for City of Water Day and Summer Jazz performances in the lobby. Additional programs aim to serve the community, highlight exhibitions and support learning through the visual arts.
Brooklyn Pop-Up Market
Sundays, July 6-27, 10:30am-5:30pm.
Plaza, first floor
Free and open to the public
The weekly market features more than 30 local vendors selling handmade items including artwork, jewelry, fashion, home goods and apothecary products.
Teen Pop-Up Talks
Wednesdays and Thursdays, July 9-10, 16-17, 23-24 and 30, 2:00-3:00pm.

Teen staff from the Museum Apprentice Program lead short talks on works in the Ancient Egyptian Art, Decorative Arts and Design and Toward Joy galleries. Each talk repeats every 15 minutes.
Outdoor Art-Making with BkM Teens
Wednesdays, July 9-30, 3:30-5:30pm.
Plaza, first floor (rain location: Education Center)
Free and open to the public. Supplies are limited.
Families can join teen apprentices for art-making activities inspired by works in the museum’s collection.
Museum on Wheels: Coney Island
Saturday, July 12, 10:00am.-2:00pm.
Kaiser Park, 3161 Bayview Ave., Brooklyn
Free and open to the public. Space is limited.
The museum’s mobile unit will offer hands-on art activities and teaching objects at Coney Island for City of Water Day. Activities include art-making, games and giveaways. In case of rain, the event will move to Sunday, July 13.
Summer Jazz
Sunday, July 20, 2:00-4:00pm.
Lobby, first floor
Free. Gallery reservations required.
The museum lobby will host live performances by jazz musicians featuring blues, roots and international influences.
Pop-Up Performances: Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra

Members of the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra will perform a selection of music in the Great Hall.
