Brooklyn Goes Rock ’n’ Rescue With Pet Adoption Pop-Up

Dogs in rock gear are looking for their forever home at Freak On A Leash’s pop-up adoption event with Badass Animal Rescue and Bushwick Bark on Aug. 29.

A pop-up adoption event in Bushwick on Aug. 29 will feature dogs decked out in Freak On A Leash gear.

Brooklyn pet lovers can meet adorable pups in stylish rock gear this Friday, Aug. 29, for a special adoption pop-up in Bushwick.

Freak On A Leash, a pet apparel toys and accessories brand founded by Jonathan Davis, the frontman of Korn, is teaming up with Badass Animal Rescue and Bushwick Bark for an adoption event from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

The pop-up, at 181 Irving Ave., will feature dogs decked out in Freak On A Leash gear, ready to find their forever homes. 

Fans can also shop the full Freak On A Leash collection, including the latest collaboration with celebrity stylist Ashton Michael, with a portion of proceeds supporting Badass Animal Rescue’s mission of rescuing and rehoming dogs.

Attendees can take part in raffles throughout the evening for exclusive merchandise and the event includes drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, from a curated lineup of partners. 

With limited capacity in Bushwick Bark’s backyard, the pop-up promises an intimate community gathering filled with pups, music and a spirit of giving back.

Badass Animal Rescue is a nonprofit focused on saving and rehabilitating dogs from high-kill shelters in underserved U.S. communities, including the rural South and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since 2011, the volunteer-driven organization has rescued more than 3,700 dogs.

Bushwick Bark, a female-owned pet shop serving the Brooklyn community since 2013, offers pet food, supplies and grooming services for cats and dogs.
