The Brooklyn Children’s Museum, the world’s first and oldest children’s museum with 125 years of history, announced the appointment of Brendan Reynolds to its board of trustees.

Located in Crown Heights, the museum welcomes more than 300,000 children and caregivers annually, offering exhibitions and programs that span visual arts, music, performance, natural science and world cultures.

“I’m thrilled to join the Board at Brooklyn Children’s Museum," Reynolds said. "My wife and I raised three children in Crown Heights and were frequent visitors across the years, so I’m very much looking forward to giving back to the neighborhood and institution that provided such fond and formative memories for my family. I love Brooklyn and am committed to ensuring all children can grow and thrive in this borough."

Reynolds is a dynamic leader in design, currently serving as managing director and head of design for card services at JPMorgan. His career includes leadership roles such as head of customer experience design at Verizon, chief executive officer of the design consultancy Moment, and key positions at Studio Archetype and Sapient, where he helped establish their financial services industry unit. Reynolds holds a BFA from Northern Illinois University.

Board co-chairs Amanda Sue Nichols and Michael Frazier expressed their enthusiasm to onboard the new trustee.

“We proudly welcome Brendan Reynolds to our deeply engaged and dedicated Board of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, the world’s first children’s museum. Brendan’s extensive background in art, design, and business leadership brings tremendous value to our cultural institution and will help propel BCM's exciting plans for enriching cultural and learning experiences for children and families for the next 125 years," they said in a statement.
