The Black History and Culture Tour of Fort Greene returns on Saturday, Sept. 20, with a guided walk led by historian Suzanne Spellen.

Developed with input from a tour advisory committee, the route highlights the neighborhood’s deep connections to Black history and culture, offering a ground-level perspective on Fort Greene’s important legacy.

The tour begins at the corner of DeKalb Avenue and Washington Park inside Fort Greene Park. Upcoming dates include:

  • Sept. 20, 11:00am–12:30pm.

  • Oct.18, 11:00am–12:30pm.

  • Nov. 15, 11 a.m.–12:30pm.

The series is an initiative of the Fort Greene Park Conservancy and Myrtle Avenue BID in partnership with BlackSpace, the Future Historical Society at BRIC, MoCADA and the Weeksville Heritage Center.
