The Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), is an International, competitive festival whose mission is to provide a public forum in Brooklyn in order to advance public interest in films and the independent production of films.
The festival hopes to pull international attention to the Brooklyn area and to recognize it as a center for high quality cinema. At a more local level, the discussions and the screenings serve to encourag Brooklyn residents to access and experience the power of independent film making, and to promote artistic excellence and the creative freedom of artists without censure.
This year's festival will run from June 3 - June 12 and is comprised of 107 features and shorts from 31 countries spread over 6 continents. The program list includes 20 world premieres, 18 US bows, and 30 East Coast debuts and 23 films that are screening in NYC for the first time.
