DUMBO Open Studios returns this month on April 13 and 14, where artists and art organizations across the downtown Brooklyn neighborhood open their studios to the public. This year’s event will feature 155 artists and organizations, including five residency programs and 11 exhibitions.

Among this year's participating artists is Mo Kong, a multidisciplinary artist and researcher. This past month, Mo Kong had a commission open at Smack Mellon, an art nonprofit, called "Swift Island Chain.” Kong is a current recipient of the Sharpe-Walentas Studio Residency.

The year's event extends into the evening, where at dusk, the Manhattan Bridge and parts of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway will be lit up by projections of Brooklyn’s most wide-reaching video art series, according to a news release.

Information on the weekend events and artist bios can be found at dumboopenstudios.com.
