The Great PLG Stoop & Sidewalk Sale, the largest stoop and sidewalk sale in New York City, returns to Prospect Lefferts Gardens on Saturday, June 21, from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Spanning more than 22 residential blocks from Sterling Street to Clarkson Avenue and Ocean to New York Avenues, the event promises a wide range of goods and neighborhood spirit.

“Folks who’ve lived practically next door to each other for years are meeting and chatting for the first time, and we’ve got a team of 23 neighbors helping put up event posters and distribute postcards," said Jenn Chen, the organizer of the sale.
"This event is about community, through and through."
Residents will offer vintage housewares, furniture, clothing, artwork, stage props and assorted attic and basement finds. Classic lemonade stands and local business specials will add to the festive atmosphere.
Participating businesses include Sparrowfart Common, Awesome Brooklyn, Primary Source, and several vendors at Flatbush Central Caribbean Marketplace. These shops will run exclusive promotions for the day.

The sale was launched in 2024 by Chen to foster connection and accessibility across blocks. The event has since expanded with the help of community volunteers, artists, and neighbors contributing time, money and resources.
“Last year’s sale was fantastic," said PLG resident Susan Hemley. "It gave neighbors a chance to meet each other, visit new parts of their neighborhood, and buy some fun and useful things at very affordable prices. It felt like a giant school fair or community festival that really brings people together for a common cause and spreads good vibes."
More than 20 neighbors are helping to post flyers and spread the word. Organizers say the event is as much about community-building as it is about shopping.
