The Brooklyn Nets have waived forward Drew Timme and guard Dariq Whitehead ahead of the upcoming season.

Timme, who joined the team on a multi-year deal in March 2025, appeared in nine games (two starts) during the 2024–25 campaign, averaging 12.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in just over 28 minutes per game.

Whitehead, selected 22nd overall by Brooklyn in the 2023 NBA Draft, played 20 games last season, averaging 5.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per contest.

Across two seasons with the Nets, he holds averages of 5.3 points and 1.5 rebounds over 22 career games.

The move signals another round of roster adjustments as the Nets look ahead to refining their lineup for the 2025–26 season.

Founded in April 2012, the Brooklyn Nets play home games at Barclays Center at the intersection of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues. Formerly the New Jersey Nets, the team has a storied history that includes 24 postseason appearances, four Atlantic Division titles and two trips to the NBA Finals (2002 and 2003).
