Worker Injured in Borough Park Building Fire

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

The FDNY put out a fire that tore through a Borough Park building on Thursday afternoon. According to fire officials, the fire began just before 2:30 pm. Over 100 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the fire at the three-story building. One civilian suffered an injury but is expected to be OK. Sources at the scene say that there was roof work being done at the building and that a roofer was the one who got injured. Red Cross representatives were spotted at the scene helping out families who were impacted by the fire.
