The attack happened around 12:30am near Bedford Avenue and Willoughby Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, according to police. Officers responded to the area for a report of a serious assault and were told a 27-year-old woman had been approached by an unidentified individual. Police said the suspect slapped the woman on the buttocks before following her into a residential building. Once inside, the suspect sexually assaulted her and then fled in an unknown direction.
