Police sources say a 25-year-old mother was charged after officers found her 1-month-old boy dead inside of their Flatbush apartment. The NYPD said officers made the discovery around 7:30pm on Saturday while responding to a wellness check at an apartment complex on Veronica Place near Beverly Road. “I turn the corner [of the hallway] and I see that there’s a woman moderately aged,” said Niaz Femd, a neighbor. “She probably looks like a grandma or something; but she was resting her head over here on the wall.
