The victim was shot on the downtown 2 train subway platform at the President Street - Medgar Evers College Station at around 11:45pm. Police said the suspect yanked at her purse in an armed robbery. During an ensuing scuffle, he fired once. Responding police officers rushed her in their police cruiser to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where she has been stabilized. Officers were able to track her bag, located in front of 1762 Pacific St., where it had been discarded after the suspect went through it. More on this from ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
