Police said a man who was shot in East New York Sunday is now in police custody. Ryan Straker, 19, was shot in a Brooklyn building while police said he was allegedly committing a series of crimes. “This a productive block. It’s family-oriented, no violence, no crime,” Stephen Elliot, a neighbor, told PIX11 News. Police said they responded to a call at 721 Snediker Ave. around 12pm and found Straker with one gunshot wound to the abdomen.
