Damil Marin insists his wife was suffering from COVID-19 during the height of the pandemic, but residents of a Brooklyn neighborhood say that did not stop him from taking over a commercial space in their neighborhood and hosting loud parties in open defiance of the city's social distancing and mask-wearing rules.
For months, residents along stretches of Bushwick Ave. and Woodbine St. in Bushwick say they have been assaulted by loud music and streets littered with trash and broken glass after nightly parties where revelers with no face coverings crowd a space so tight they have to walk sideways to cross the room.
