Police said an 8-year-old girl was found dead Tuesday morning at an East New York home. According to the NYPD, the girl was found on the kitchen floor of her home at 604 Hegeman Ave. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Authorities said the mother claims she last saw her daughter going to the bathroom at 8 am. Officials said that the death is suspicious and is being investigated as so, and that the city's Administration for Children's Services has been notified.
