Police Disrupt Bed-Stuy Memorial, 5 Arrested

According to police, five people were taken into custody. They say multiple people refused to listen to vacate orders, and that officers feared for their safety after two people displayed closed fists towards them.

A Brooklyn family is demanding justice after they say police abused their power by interrupting a private memorial service held at a Bed-Stuy event space. “We were having food, listening to music dancing, you know, celebrating the life that once was here," said Alana Moye, a family member. Moye and other guests said police busted into Three 24 The Venue on Aug. 23 while she and her family were remembering their late cousin. More on this from News 12 Brooklyn.
