Park Slope Fire Leaves One Person Injured

Firefighters brought the blaze under control at 9:58am, according to FDNY officials.

Fire marshals are investigating the cause of a two-alarm fire that one person in stable condition in Park Slope on Friday. Squad Company 1 and Ladder Company 122 responded shortly before 9:00am on May 2 and found heavy fire coming from the third and fourth floors of 118 Sterling Place. “There was a lot of fire leaping over the fire escape,” said witness Bethany Clark. Some residents looked on in shock, holding their animals. More than 100 firefighters from 25 units used four hose lines to knock down the main body of fire.
