Officer And Civilian Injured in Bed-Stuy Crash During Police Response to Firearm Call

NYPD officials say that the officer sustained critical injuries but is stable.
A police officer and a civilian were hurt in a crash in Bed-Stuy that occurred while the officer was responding to a call. The NYPD says that the officer was responding to a 911 call about a man with a firearm. They say that while responding to the call, the police car crashed into a white Nissan Rogue, driven by a 28-year-old man.
