An off-duty FDNY firefighter pulled over in Brooklyn for driving a BMW with excessively tinted windows sped off after he was caught with an unlicensed gun â" only to crash as he jumped out of his car, police said.
Cops pulled Kenyatta Ames over on Myrtle Ave near Lewis Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. When they realized he had a .38-caliber Taurus revolver Ames, 26, allegedly sped off, then jumped out a short distance away. His car kept rolling, hitting another vehicle.
No one was hurt.
