Officer Joshua Acosta, 39, was off duty when he was arrested Wednesday in Brooklyn and charged with multiple counts of rape, sexual misconduct, course of sexual conduct against a child, and act in manner injury to a child, according to the NYPD. Sources said the domestic incidents occurred between 2021 and June 2026. The victim was under 13 years of age and under 17 during the alleged incidents, according to sources.
