A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in East New York Friday morning, authorities said. Officers responded to a 911 call of an accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Wortman and Georgia Avenues just before 6 am, according to the NYPD. A 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A preliminary investigation revealed the victim had gotten out of his vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle that crossed over the double-yellow lines, authorities said.
