The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating an incident in East New York. It happened around 3:00pm on Oct. 5 along New Lots Avenue near Vermont Street. Police said a man walked up to a 35-year-old woman and made anti-LGBTQIA+ statements. They say he then grabbed a chair and hit her in the arm. The attacker drove off in a white Jeep Compass.
