NY Legislators Push for Repeal of Congestion Pricing

New York State Assembly member Mike Tannousis is introducing a bill in the legislature to cancel congestion pricing and audit the MTA.

It’s another roadblock for congestion pricing. Some New York lawmakers say the idea should be repealed and are introducing legislation to reconsider the plan. MTA officials have said they are confidant they followed the law and regulations. Drivers will get charged once a day heading into the congestion pricing zone south of 60th Street. The cost is $15 during the day for most cars. There is a credit if you came in through the tunnels.
