Man Pushed Onto Subway Tracks Struck by Train: NYPD

A person of interest was taken into custody and charges against them are pending.

A man was struck by a train after being intentionally bumped onto the subway tracks in Brooklyn on Thursday, according to the NYPD. The incident occurred at 11:04am at the Jay Street-Metro Tech subway station. A southbound R train was entering the station when the man was bumped onto the tracks, police said. The emergency brake was applied, but it was too late. Witnesses told police the suspect jumped over a staircase railing before he ran into the victim. Click here to read more on pix11.com.
