A man was killed crossing a street and a scooter driver was critically injured in separate Brooklyn crashes on Wednesday, according to the police. In the deadly incident, a 68-year-old man was crossing Glenwood Road at E. 105th Street in Canarsie around 6:50 p.m., police said. He was in the crosswalk when a 47-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2017 white Dodge Caravan heading west on Glenwood Road slammed into him, police added. Earlier in the evening, a man riding a scooter near the corner of Fulton and Richmond Streets in Cypress Hills crashed into an open car door around 5:15 p.m., police said.
