Police say they received a 911 call around 7:20pm for an emotionally disturbed person inside a synagogue located at 1675 54th St. in Borough Park. They say a 22-year-old man slashed a 14-year-old boy in the hand with some sort of cutting instrument. The suspect was taken into custody and the 14-year-old refused medical attention. Police say both the suspect and victim were congregants of the synagogue.
