A 46-year-old man was shot in the chest near Powell St. and Belmont Ave. in Brownsville around 9:45am on December 24, reported The Daily News.
The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The NYPD identified him as Marchin Iwanowicz. No arrests have been made; the investigation is ongoing.
