Man Accused of Deadly Brooklyn Hit-And-Run to be Arraigned in Court

A 23-year-old driver accused of fatally striking two pedestrians in Sunset Park and then fleeing will face a judge on Saturday.

The man accused of fleeing the scene after mowing down two men in Brooklyn will be arraigned in criminal court on Saturday. Juventino Anastacio Florentino, 23, faces charges of manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving, imprudent speeding and disregarding a red light, police said on Friday. Florentino was accused of speeding down Third Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and hitting two men crossing 52nd Street around 4:30am on Friday, according to authorities. Police say Florentino continued driving despite the incident. More on this from Pix 11.
