A 44-year-old man was shot in the chest early Thursday morning inside a basement apartment in Flatbush, according to police. The NYPD says the shooting happened just before 3:30am at 20 Duryea Pl. between Flatbush Avenue and E. 22nd Street. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a person shot and found the victim with a gunshot wound to his upper left chest.
