A lost phone turned into a major headache for one Brooklyn man, as police say thieves used it to steal more than $50,000, including a big chunk of Bitcoin. Investigators say it started when a 28-year-old man lost his phone on Sept. 28. Soon after, he noticed several unauthorized charges, about $1,000 spent at addresses linked to Wine and Liquors on Marcus Garvey Boulevard and The Taco Bar on Tompkins Avenue.
