12 Injured in Greenwood Heights Apartment Basement Fire

A second-alarm fire in Greenwood Heights injured 12 people Sunday night. The blaze began in a 27th Street apartment basement, spread to the first floor and is under investigation.

A second alarm fire in Greenwood Heights injured 12 people Sunday night. Police say the fire started in the basement of an apartment building on 27th Street after 9:30pm. Fire spread to first floor, but firefighters were able to stop if before it got to the second floor. Six residents, four firefighters and two NYPD officers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. More on this from abc 7 Eyewitness News.
