5 Hurt, 2 Women Critical After Fire Burns Through Crown Heights Apartment

An early morning apartment fire in Crown Heights injured five people, including two critically. The Red Cross is assisting displaced families. Investigation ongoing.

An apartment fire in Crown Heights, Brooklyn injured five people early Thursday morning. The fire broke out around 1:35am on the second floor of a building on Eastern Parkway. Two women, ages 24 and 26, were taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. A 55-year-old woman was listed in stable condition at Staten Island University Hospital.
